MCA president right to 'cold storage' Soi Lek

I refer to the Malaysiakini report Don't bluff me, Soi Lek warns.

The outburst by the deputy MCA president and his supporters in the media, after the party’s first central committee meeting on Nov 11 exemplifies the ruthless political ambition of a man.

A man tainted with morality issues from a widely spread pornographic DVD tape.

Politicians should remember that which is morally wrong cannot be politically right. With the damning DVD pornographic evidence, may I ask the deputy president, what culture does he wish to display, to develop and to keep? Has he no sense of shame?

It is appalling how some of the MCA delegates can condone the sexual proclivities of this man and even turn in their votes for him to enjoy and to propagate such degrading human behavior.

The impact on society is very grave. I am speechless, words fail me here.

The MCA president did the honourable thing by keeping his deputy president in ‘cold storage’ where he rightly belongs.

Moral principles are for living and acting rightly. They bring with them moral courage and righteous behavior. Mr MCA President, you have our full support.

A person with neither a moral code nor control of his emotions is at risk as sexual proclivities, grudge and vengeance are breeding grounds for wickedness and deviant behavior. Imagine such a person leading our country.

What sort of messages and values will we be sending to our children if MCA accedes to internal political pressure to nominate this tainted deputy president as a minister in the cabinet?

To the world, men of character are the conscience of society for it is moral qualities which, in the main, rule the world.

I am confident Ong Tee Keat will do what is right.
