Not just another poison-pen letter

your say ‘It is easy for the police and the chemist to say there is no evidence to support a claim. But in such an important case, we would want them to prove it, what with all the materials in their possession.’

Allegations in letter unsubstantiated

Lin Wen Quan: I wish I could believe in this so-called police investigation but I am sorry I can't. They have lost all my trust and respect for their kind of investigative work. Maybe when they are thoroughly cleansed and reformed and earn back their credibility, I will believe in them. Until then, I cannot accept that the sun rises in the west.

Xroy: What an investigation! The DNA expert has rejected the claims about the taking of the DNA, everything else lacks evidence. Why did they not summon the man (Selangor MACC deputy chief Hishamuddin Hassim) to the police station and detain him for questioning as is the case, and more so in this case as it could be murder.

The only thing they agree with is something they can't deny: he did not clock out and they do not tell us why. As everybody has said, we can't trust this investigation.

Louis: Unsubstantiated despite the evidence? Let the people named face the panel of lawyers and subject them to questioning by the likes of Gobind Singh and Karpal. Only then can the truth be established.

Hann Wei Toh: It is easy for the police and the chemist to say there is no evidence to support a claim. But in such an important case, we would want them to prove it, what with all the materials in their possession.

Loyal Malaysian: Well, let's hope our Deep Throats in MACC will provide more leads. The MACC must be brought to account! Justice for Beng Hock!

Lim Chong Leong: Somehow no one is surprised with the police's findings. But then again, why is the police investigating officer coming forward to be cross examined?

Bernard Chen: I am sure that the person committing such dastardly acts would have sent an e-mail or prepared instructions. The police are either very dumb or they think we are! Please take his DNA in open court.

Chew Chun Kang:

I suggest that his DNA sample be taken again in the presence of trustworthy witnesses to clear all doubts.

Wira: The only way I can believe the findings is for his DNA to be taken in a open court and have the DNA profiling done by an independent lab (preferably an Australian one) in parallel with the Chemistry Department.

Rocky: Are we surprised by this police finding? No. Well, maybe it's time for the same party to shoot out part two of the letter, if there is one, to make things more interesting.
