Debate dare: 'Muhyiddin will chicken out'

vox populi small thumbnail 'Muhyiddin Yassin epitomises the pure and irresponsible Malay leader... I'm sure that he will chicken out as he does not have the skill and knowledge to challenge Anwar'.

Who's the traitor? Anwar's debate dare for Muhyiddin

Adel230: Anwar Ibrahim, that's the way to go man. Look at Muhyiddin Yassin, he epitomises the pure and irresponsible Malay leader and this type of characters only exists in Umno.

I'm sure that Muhyiddin will chicken out as he does not have the skill and knowledge to challenge Anwar.

On that guy Khairy Jamaludin, don't forget the phrase 'Melayu muda lupa'. You may have tried to ‘lupa' or divert your previous doings as the PM's son-in law but the public still remembers.

Lim Kit Siang called you the richest unemployed millionaire. How true.

Ck: If the debate is on, I will surely go with all my friends to attend. I hope the DPM won't chicken out.

Louis: Muhyidin, please do not be a coward. If you dared accuse of Anwar Ibrahim as a traitor, substantiate your claim. But at the same time, Anwar too must be given the chance to rebut your accusations.

The rightful platform for this purpose is a debate. If you dare not accept the challenge, kindly keep your mouth shut. Similarly Khairy. You accuse Anwar of corruption. But would you care to explain how did you finance your purchase of ECM-Libra? Some godfather loaned you the money, right?

But will the said godfather loan you millions if you were not the son-in-law of a PM? What about your case of money politics? Isn't that corruption?

Look at yourself at the mirror before hurling accuses at others. Your face might be even uglier than the one accused.

SunShine1: Anwar is a traitor? Yup, Anwar is a traitor - but a ‘traitor' only to Umno and BN. Umno leaders are traitors to their own Malay race because they robbed those poor Malays to enrich themselves.

Same goes to MCA, MIC, Gerakan and all BN component parties. They sold their souls to the devil.

Oil wealth to fuel DAP's shadow budget

Yakob Abdul Rahman: Congratulations DAP for your proposal. I only miss one very important aspect which is public healthcare and senior citizens care.

Why is a public healthcare programme not on your agenda? Do you know how many people cannot get proper healthcare because they can not afford the spiraling cost of healthcare and medicines? Please attend to this matter.

Ezilan: I think it's a good budget with good long-term planning. I would prefer to see more figures, re: operational expenditure, projected budget deficit. Would also like to see money allocated to provide parliamentary services such as research assistants.

Also setting up state funding for political parties and banning political parties from owning assets. Good job overall though.

Concerned Citizen: Finally, the right priorities. Education is the cornerstone of any small population. We cannot depend on the masses to provide cheap labour. We need to develop our minds and skill sets to compete globally.

I also appreciate the emphasis on Sabah and Sarawak which have contributed immensely to the wealth of Malaysia and righteously deserve to have infrastructure on par with the rest of Malaysia.

We are all Malaysians deserving to share in the wealth of the nation.

Zin: Talk about corruption, this budget is corruption of the voting public. See folks, the moment you put money in their hands, they buy votes. Pot calling the kettle black.

RM25 million for security in high-risk areas. Why not increase the salary of the poor constables? They are poorly paid, but then it is not sufficient to corrupt them.

PAS may seek court order to defer polls

KSS: Recently, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said , ‘the party, parliament, the judiciary, the civil service, the financial institutions and the media became concentrated in the hands of the prime minister.'

He obviously forgot to add the Election Commission to the list. It is good that PAS is taking up the matter, as its actions would serve to highlight how biased and unfair the EC is, if even reasonable requests are rejected.

Even if PAS has a very strong case and the matter goes to court, the judgment will almost certainly go against it but the whole exercise will re-confirm how rotten the judiciary is.

We may also find out which are the kangaroo court judges. As things stand now, Malaysia is essentially a dictatorship but trying to fool the world into thinking that it is a democracy.

Malaysian: I support PAS' move. Better to go to the courts but then just see how our judiciary system is. All Malaysians know.

Anyway, PAS must do something to stop this dirty thing. The EC cannot do anything because they are a BN ‘component party'.

Lam: The EC is one of BN's ‘component party'. What can we expect from them? BN will later say that PAS and Pakatan are too scared to face BN.

WAO rubbishes 'sedition' complaints

Zin: Way to go, ladies. After all, I can tell you that Islam does not bully ladies or anyone else. These groups when confronted, use ‘insulting Islam' as an excuse to bully others.

Who is insulting Islam, they or JAG? It is the trend these days to make police reports. Poor police, they must have millions of them.

Ahmad Iqhbal: Hurray to the women of this nation. Here is an organisation putting their foot down on some madcaps, who are trying to drum up some charges that our ‘learned' judges of today will definitely take on.

Ladies, remember. Surely a woman can run faster with her skirt up than a man with his pants down.
