No force can do anything to Utusan

your say 'I would imagine that one day the oceans would dry up, but I will tell you Utusan will never get charged for sedition. Even in dreams it isn't possible. Trust me.'

Archbishop slams 'irresponsible' reporting

Cannon: The declining circulation of Utusan Malaysia reflects its low garbage quality, junked even by it own journalists and by Malay readers. This trash sheet has made a mockery of Islam in publicising the screening of the sex video allegedly implicating an Umno political foe and the vicious smear campaign carried out by the Datuk T trio against that person in the mosque.

Not satisfied with bringing ridicule to Muslims, Utusan now is targeting Christians and sowing incitement and hatred for the church. It is deliberately causing racial and religious tension to polarise the people in the hope of winning Malay support. This vile move can only backfire on Umno, causing Malaysians, including fair-minded Malays, to reject Umno-BN.

It does not serve PM Najib's purpose to have a group of recalcitrants within Utusan to subvert his 1Malaysia agenda. Unless Najib deals firmly with them, including the dim-wit cousin of his in the Home Ministry, Najib's administration is in jeopardy of falling.

The sedition committed by Utusan is twisted around by the home minister to accuse the Christian church of being a 'seditious movement'. Umno is deliberately and maliciously provoking strife between Christians and Muslims to rally Malay support.

If the BN component leaders claim they represent the interests of Malaysian communities, why are they not resolutely speaking up? Here is the latest example of an Umno-sponsored mischief and in the face of blatant provocation, the coalition members are keeping quiet. How can these coalition parties convince the electorate they have what it takes to guard the interests in the coalition?

The image of BN is battered precisely because of the coalition members' inability to check the wanton excesses of Umno.

Keturunan Malaysia: Yes Cannon, I couldn't agree with you more. We demand a full and complete investigation into this matter without fear and favour. No stone must be left unturned. Whoever the culprits may be, they must be brought to justice. We demand the truth. Let heads roll, regardless of which parties they are from.

We have enough of trouble-makers. Najib, for goodness sake, prove to us you are indeed the prime minister for all Malaysians. Calling for calm is one thing, but getting to the bottom of the matter is another.

Gandhi: Cannon, I would imagine that one day the oceans would dry up but I will tell you Utusan will never get charged for sedition. Even in dreams, it isn't possible. No force can do anything to Utusan . Trust me.

Malaysian Born: This is totally unacceptable, not only has some worthless bloggers' entries been taken as fact, but its baseless claims are then put into print by a newspaper without verification, and if that is not enough you have government ministers making comments about it.

This is the 21st century and for the media, government and authorities to be manipulated and made fools of this way is absurd. If it was just them being foolish it would be bad enough, but they need to understand that they have just accused, insulted and upset every Christian in the country by giving credence to such rubbish.

Whoever is playing games here does not care about this country, just their political machinations and achieving their goals at any cost. To make the accusations took very low-grade mentalities, but to make an issue based on them requires someone to be retarded. This must stop.

Phoenix Star 88: Uneasy over the DAP's victorious winning spree in the recent Sarawak elections, Utusan decided to unleash upon the party the political equivalent of an aerial bombardment by coming up with the most ridiculous headline in the history of Malaysian printed media.

Utusan decided to use, of all things, a religious minority as a scapegoat in this insidious attack. I hope all peaceloving Malays will try to permanently seal Utusan's lips for the sake of the peace and prosperity of Malaysia.

Hibiscus: Many believe Umno is using other organisations and individuals to create lies and slander. Then it gets Utusan to report them. The whole idea is to have these lies and slander to reach rural Malay voters. Utusan is circulated widely in the rural areas. To the rural Malays, whatever is reported in Utusan is the truth.

Come the next general election, the rural Malay votes would then go to Umno, enabling them to win and remain in power. Too much is at stake personally for many BN leaders if BN loses power, and this including past BN leaders. For instance, they could be investigated for past misdeeds, etc.

After the 2008 GE, Umno thought they could still win back the urban seats and the Chinese voters. However, the recent Sarawak elections confirms Umno's fears that the urban and Chinese voters have by and large swing to Pakatan Rakyat. Thus Umno will not bother about the reaction of the urban voters to the slander and lies so long as the rural Malays believe them.

Chandran Sukumaran: It will be interesting to know the percentage of Muslims over the past 10 years who have renounced Islam to join Christianitiy versus how many so-called 'non-believers' who have embraced Islam.

Can Umno give such statistics. I bet they dare not. I fail to understand why the Muslims in Malaysia are so frightened of other religion? I understand in the Arab nations and even in Indonesia, it's the right of individuals to choose their faith.

Simpang 4: It is not that nobody knows what they are doing. My theory is it is part of a grand design to derail Najib's 1Malaysia and to stop him from winning the next general election with a two-thirds majority. The PM is already there and now he has to convince the Chinese to back him. But elements within Umno are not too happy with that. That is why all these destabilising and hate-mongering ‘foreplay'.

The PM must act decisively now or else risk losing all.
