DPM denies fastrack citizenhip for Bangladeshis
Indon Planter: Perhaps DPM Muhyiddin Yassin can compel the National Registration Department (NRD) to come forth and let the public know exactly how many and on what grounds these Bangladeshis are being awarded citizenship.
As for the statement that no one knows who had voted for which party, rightly so, but all the party need do is to is give a warning to the instant citizens that should the constituency they voted in goes to Pakatan Rakyat, then their citizenship will be revoked.
BTN: They said the same thing with Sabah many years ago, and look what has become of that state. There are so many people walking the streets of Sabah that do not look like Sabahans at all.
Where are the Kitingan brothers who were voted in many years ago to correct this act, and what did they do? They joined BN and live a life of luxury whereas their streets are crowded with foreigners. Poor Sabahans.
Gunner: Muhyiddin, what about Mahathir's Project IC in Sabah? Don't you think those were indeed fast-tracked citizenships?
These were not 100 or 200 cases, but not less than 700,000 Indonesians, Filipinos and Indians/Pakistanis. Why are you people doing this to Malaysia, Muhyiddin?
Onyourtoes: Sure, we have to have lived in this country long enough in order to be given citizenships. In fact, there are some who had waited so long that they even died without getting one.
There are some who got it when they were about to die, but somehow The Star and MCA are so proud to highlight them to show what a wonderful job the government has done.
Then, of course, there are thousands who have just come recently who are readily given citizenships and PRs (permanent residency). The ‘Malay first' DPM should know who these people are.
Anonymous_4030: These Pakatan Rakyat hackers think they are so smart. They think they can fool all Malaysians. But not me.
Folks, check this out. Compare the original press report and the fake report apparently uploaded to the Bangladeshi website by the hacker. Source - Be Da Man .
Not Convinced: Yes, it looks like the posting in the Bangladeshi's NGO Affairs Bureau of the Prime Minister's Office appeared doggy.
There is a possibility that someone has planted the story. More information about this from Wirawan Web .
Kgen: Why would the Bangladeshi NGO make such a claim if there is no truth in it? Do they even know that the general election is coming in Malaysia and the ruling regime is desperate to win, to the point of concocting such a story?
This claim has a ring of truth to it. The webpage has been taken down hastily which shows that it is probably true. If some people had intentionally spun lies for specific motives, they would welcome the publicity, instead of taking down the webpage.
IloveBN: I hope the bumiputeras realise that their new brothers are soon going to ask for a share of the economic cake once they get their citizenship. Then the game will begin. Najib will win the election and instruct his cronies to make as much as they can and bolt from this country.
The foreigners, now citizens of this country, will demand for their rights. Perkasa is sure going to get very upset with the BN government.
Clean&Clear : Muhyiddin, Malaysians don't just listen to what politicians have to say. Just look at the drama that was enacted by MIC and Gerakan in Batu Kawan yesterday. You were the main actor.
Buses and food were provided for people to gather at a Tamil school to show you that the Indians are now with BN. Is this what we want? And is this what you want?
DNA: There is nothing to be surprised about this allegation. It does not matter whether you come Bangladesh, Somalia, Indonesia, but the important thing is that as long as you are a Muslim, citizenship for this elite group will be fast tracked.
Anita Shaharuddin: Najib would do anything without thinking of the future generation. He is the one, together with his deputy, who destroyed PPSMI (Maths and Science in English) just as the younger generation were getting better at English.
We, the younger generation Malays, have lost confidence in him. Throw them out at the next GE.
Anonymous_40dc: Mohamad came from Kerala and his son, Mahathir, became PM. In the not-too-distant future, we'll have a Bangladeshi as PM, complements of Umno.
