The recent revelation by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Mohamed Nazri Aziz that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) found no proof of graft against Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman, has vindicated the latter.
Parti Bersatu Sabah secretary-general Henrynus Amin said Musa, who is also Sabah BN leader, had thus, been cleared of allegations involving money laundering and corruption, which the opposition had been claiming all the while.
In a statement here today, he said the outcome of the investigations by both bodies also indicated the opposition was the mastermind of the conspiracy.
"Those with vested interests have gone to great lengths to achieve their objective, which is to weaken the BN government as a means to get to Putrajaya," he said.
He said, it should be made known that the original complaint against Musa, alleging corrupt practices, was lodged by a Malaysian opposition politician to the ICAC which was obliged by law to investigate the complaint.
