The Kyrgyz Republic hopes the BN will remain the ruling government after the coming 13th general election, says Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

This hope was expressed by a visiting delegation from the Central Asian republic that paid a courtesy call on him at Parliament building in Kuala Lumpur today.

deputy speaker wan junaidi parliament pc 240609 "They also hope our elections will run smoothly and that BN will continue administering the country," Wan Junaidi ( right ) said after a one-hour meeting with the visiting delegation.

The 10-member delegation comprises the Kyrgyz Republic's Committee for International Relations chairperson Kanybek Imanaliev, Committee for Education, Science, Culture and Sports chairperson Kanybek Osmonaliev, Committee for Economic Fiscal Policy chairperson Karganbek Samakov, four parliamentarians, two parliament officers and a staff member of the United Nations Agency for International Development.

Wan Junaidi said the Krygyz Republic was also keen to make Malaysia the best model as an Islamic country that practised moderation and yet successful in notching success in various fields, including politics, economy and social.

"They are in awe of Malaysia, which they regard as a progressive and dynamic Islamic nation, and that is why they want to know the recipe of our success," he added.
