BN's Chinese dominated component party MCA unveiled its new "People's Stability Bus" mobile ceramah vehicle cum stage platform at its annual Chinese New Year open house in Bandar Tun Razak near Cheras today.
As if to showcase its stability, when arriving to grace the event, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and wife Rosmah Mansor, along with a retinue of BN leaders, went onboard the bus all the way to the stage on the second floor of the double-decker vehicle.
The BN leaders and PM's spouse then crowded atop the vehicle waving at the assembled crowd which greeted them.
A huge graphic depicting Najib side by side with MCA president Chua Soi Lek dominated both sides of the bus.
A likeness of a Panda stuffed toy with the outline of a heart and the 1Malaysia logo tacked on its chest, was also painted along with the image of the two BN leaders on the sides. A bigger version dominated the entire back portion.
After PKR's campaign bus and DAP's ‘Ubah' trucks, MCA is the third party to go mobile as far as campaign platforms go.
All the vehicles also double as stages for ceramahs.
PKR's bus midsection unfolds into a stage, the Ubah trucks used the trailer flatbed, while MCA's entry has the stage on the second storey of the vehicle.
MCA president Chua Soi Lek (

"I don't think there is any other bus like this," he told reporters after the event.
He explained that the bus represents the MCA campaign credo of stability in Malaysia's multiracial society above any chaos.
"The bus represents stability. Those who follow the bus support Malaysia's stability," added Chua.
First time in 60 years
This is the first time in sixty years that the Chinese party has relocated its Chinese New Year open house out of its usual venue at party headquarters in downtown KL.
Asked if the relocation represent MCA's push into the Pakatan-held Bandar Tun Razak seat, Chua deflected the question.
"We don't think of winning seats when we celebrate Chinese New Year."
Though he did add that the response from the local populace was "overwhelming", claiming that an estimated 30,000 attended the event.
Quizzed if this support means that MCA and the BN would have a chance of retaking the seat, Chua was coy.
"I am an optimist," he merely said.
Thousands of people of all races attended the event, to be feted with a plethora of food like satay and laksa to the requisite Y ee Sang , while a bevy of multiracial performers staged songs, dances and acrobatic routines to spice up the day.
Other then Najib and Chua, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, federal ministers, BN politicians, former premiers Dr Mahathir Mohamed and Abdullah Badawi ( left ) as well as foreign dignitaries attended the event.
