After a brief hiatus, Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) has returned with another attack on DAP, which the movement describes as a form of cancer.

Commenting on the defeat of DAP candidate Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud in the Teluk Intan by-election, an Isma official claimed that the Chinese dominated party had "failed to use a Malay as a mask to hide its chauvinism."

"This is because the real struggle of DAP is to abolish the special rights of the Malays and bumiputera, which ruins harmony in the nation," said Isma political bureau secretary Hazizi Abdul Rahman ( left ).

He said DAP, which has often become the target of Isma leaders, should be banished from the political landscape.

"DAP is like cancer which must be cast out from the local political landscape," he added.

Last Saturday, Dyna was defeated in the by-election for the parliament seat by BN candidate Mah Siew Keong with a razor-thin 238 vote majority.

Who will replace Anwar?

In another article, Isma activist Abu Ameen questioned who would replace Anwar Ibrahim as the de facto leader of Pakatan Rakyat.

"Is there a guarantee that after Anwar, the post would not be held by the DAP supremo (Lim Kit Siang) since the party has the most number of parliament seats in Pakatan?

"Is there a guarantee that DAP’s vision to destroy the position of the bumiputera would not dominate Pakatan’s vision...?

"Given that Pakatan consist of three parties with different ideologies, what is the guarantee that the secular system championed by DAP will not supersede the position of Islam as championed by PAS?" he asked.

In view of this, Abu Ameen called on Pakatan to be more transparent regarding its structure and selection process

He said even if PKR and PAS agreed to elect Lim as the de facto leader after Anwar and DAP as the dominant party in Pakatan, this must be made clear from now.

"Don't ignore such an important thing just because of the obsession to cause the downfall of Umno and BN," he added.
