Victim urged abductors not to disturb his wife

Chan’s wife, Chin Paek Nyuen,40, said she heard her husband telling the abductors who broke into bedroom also occupied by their two-year-old daughter.
“I heard dogs barking and after on checking to see what happened, I saw two armed men wearing masks holding my husband.
“Shocked, I ran into the bedroom and they tried to breakdown the door. I heard my husband telling them not to disturb me and that he will follow them. On hearing this, the abductors fled,” she said when met at a fish farm in Kunak today.
The abductors who fled with her husband and a worker also stole several items including a television set and a boat engine.
Chin said her husband Chan has two other business partners.
Chan and a worker known only as Mazlan, in his 20s, were abducted by two armed men from the fish farm in Kampung Air Sapang, Kunak at 12.40am.
It is the third abduction case in the Sabah east coast this year.
On May 6, five gunmen abducted a Chinese national from an fish farm in Lahad Datu while a month earlier, a tourist from China was abducted from a resort in Semporna.
