Politicians lie, voters must find truth themselves
YOURSAY ‘Indeed, Umno does not need the 40,000 Bangladeshis to win.’
Najib 'can't believe' voters fell for Pakatan lies
CQ Muar: PM Najib Abdul Razak, we ought to thank you for revealing the truth on behalf of the 53 percent voters. Time and again, you're out to reverse the perceptions of the rakyat as you get more jittery about the present political climate.
You're nervous and aware the Chinese and Indians shunned BN during the last two elections. Even the moderate Malays are more enlightened and sick to the core with the corruption occurring amongst Umno leaders - all these at the expense of the innocent and misinformed rural Malays.
The disparity between the poor and wealthy after five decades remained status quo. No end seems to be in sight unless and until there's drastic change of government.
Therefore, Najib, your "magic" just won't work anymore. Stop under estimating the intelligence of the rakyat. Just ask yourself, as PM of Malaysia, why are you being so disliked and criticised?
Hot Khong: I never fell for the "lies" about 40,000 foreigners paid to vote at GE13. I believe, instead, that Umno had better ways to cheat at the polls.
Not Convinced: Indeed, Umno does not need the 40,000 Bangladeshis to win. The electoral boundaries alone can ensure that it will win - again and again. And not only with 47 percent of voters but even with 15 percent.
Sea Wolf: Under Najib’s leadership, Malaysia had always hit above 5.0 percent of GDP even during the global economic crisis where most of the developed countries in the world are suffering.
Pakatan Rakyat must not forget that private, independent and non-political Morgan Stanley investment unit claimed that investment in Malaysia will be worse under Pakatan.
So if 5.0 percent growth is a reason to vote for Pakatan then the rakyat should just for vote BN that has not already achieved it but even way better than that.
Malaysia’s debt-to-GDP ratio is even better than Japan’s which has reached 211 percent, Singapore 118 percent, France 84 percent, Germany 81 percent, United States 67 percent of their respective GDP.
SRMan: Najib proudly declared, "Malaysia is among the best economies in Asean in the past nine months and recently, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) leaders told me that they think Malaysia is an up-and-coming nation, and that gives credit to BN."
Three months ago, my friend lamented about his business dropping by a whopping 50 percent during this year's Hari Raya Puasa season compared to previous years while other businesses complained about being bogged down by slow collections.
So we are not so sure whether our PM has been feeding the Apec leaders with truths, or half-truths or not-so-truths.
Telestai!: Najib, on the contrary, I can't believe 47 percent of Malaysians fell for your lies. Your agenda of keeping Malaysians ignorant has somehow worked after all.
They say a picture paints a thousand words and this is so in this case. Those with access to the Internet have seen videos of busloads of Bangladeshis who can't speak a word of Malay making their way to the polling centre. Who is lying?
Haizir Rahman: “Our women’s empowerment policy aims to meet a target of 30 percent participation of women in managerial, leadership and administration of both public and private sectors by 2017. The Malaysian Women’s Agenda shall be fully implemented to further enhance the position of women in society.” - Pakatan manifesto.
It is a great lie that Pakatan plans to empower our women to meet a target of 30 percent participation of women in our country when even less than one percent of the women leaders in Pakatan make it to the hierarchy in DAP, PKR and PAS.
If they cannot even promote their own women leaders in their political party, then what false hope of 30 percent are they trying to give to our Malaysian women?
How on earth in Pakatan’s PAS version of Islamic policy that restricts our Malaysian women on billboards and to perform on stage can further empower our women in the nation?
Katak Puru: To those who complaining on rising prices and BN not fulfilling its promises, this is a phenomenon faced by all countries in the world. This will happen even if Pakatan wins.
Are we just going to sit and complain about the price rise? Is that the solution to the problem? The people of other countries can deal with it, why can't Malaysians?
Are Malaysians are so weak? Without subsidies, we cannot be independent? Think about it.
Mushiro: Najib, please confirm that National Feedlot Corporation’s RM250 million loan is a lie, Scorpene submarines’ RM500 million commission is a lie, everything former PM Dr Mahathir Mahathir said about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) is a lie, Altantuya Shaaribuu's murder is a lie, your meeting with Saiful Azlan Bukhari to discuss his scholarship just two days before the sodomy incident is a lie and your wife saved US$23 million from her childhood days to buy a diamond ring is the only truth.
If you dare say that, then we will vote for you.
Ex-Wfw: Malaysian politicians have been poisoned by the past 30 years of corrupt practices and therefore the nation is struggling to rise above this level. Indeed the opposition appeared to have played the same game thus slowing down the progress of justice in this nation.
But would the powers-that-be ask itself as to why the opposition could gathered so many votes? Basically they have seen all the wantonness of the government which should have acted, at least when such issues like the Cowgate was made public.
Instead the government defended such issues which obviously proved that the leadership had divided the nation for their personal interests. And this you all refuse even to address thinking that through your half-past-six educational system you can indeed buried the brains of the nation six-feet underground.
RZC: It’s the same old story again and again. Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim can't even be bothered to answer. There is nothing else to say as nothing the opposition has done can be as glaring and wrong as what BN has done and is doing.
I don't swallow everything. When the PM says we are moderate nation, I don't believe this as bibles are seized; Christians insulted and cow heads thrown around.
When the PM remains silent about the 1MDB, I can only believe what the opposition says and the accounting documents I see. When an MP says there is no guarantee given to 1MDB by the Malaysia government, I can only believe the letter of support that was produced.
Relevancy: One wonders why the voters shift to Pakatan if BN did no wrong.
