Tajuddin 'slaps' MCA with his belligerence

YOURSAY | ‘Quit BN and Umno will come running to you. Then you can slap Tajuddin.’

Holler till doomsday, I don't care, Tajuddin tells MCA Youth

Malaysian Born: There seems to be a level of ignorance of the reality that when Umno leaders insult Malaysians of Chinese descent, it makes it impossible for MCA and Gerakan members to have any semblance of credibility.

The initial comment by Umno supreme council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman could be explained as a slip of the tongue and easily dealt with by an immediate apology. His continued arrogant and uncouth stance is just plain dumb.

No one is willing to put up with any more such nonsense from Umno. MCA Youth and all other BN parties will be very aggressive in responding whenever there is misbehaviour from now on.

Times have changed - unlike in the past, idiotic comments will no longer go unanswered.

These people are not doing BN any favours. Perhaps it’s time for these politicians to retire from politics if they are unable to see the light.

Bamboo: MCA, with this belligerent stand of Tajuddin, you know how low MCA is in the eyes of Umno. We know this already and don't vote MCA as it cannot influence decision-making in the government at all.

Tajuddin, you may talk big, but the twists and turns after your 'slap' statement have diminished you further in the eyes of the public for being rude, racist and coarse in character and manners.

6th Generation Immigrant: Tajuddin can wish away his deliberately made statement. Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Umno can remain supportively silent. The straws on MCA's back must be weighing heavy now, and it surely cannot shoulder more.

These actions will surely change Malaysia's political map, if not in October, then surely in GE14. The silent majority are patiently absorbing the demons released by the current government.

Oh Ya?: This only goes to prove that Tajuddin was not misled by the social media . On the contrary, he made the insulting statement deliberately with the clear intention of shaming the Chinese community.

The fact that the prime minister did not demolish him and that the Umno secretary-general came out in full support of him only goes to show the ruling elite is elevating racial tensions to divert attention from their problems.

As for MCA Youth, let's see whether it will sever ties with Umno or Najib.

Korkor: Umno leaders can say anything to hurt anybody and they don't give a damn. They will not be hauled up by the police and they are free to say whatever they like, because, after all, they are the masters.

MCA and Gerakan can howl and howl, but they will be dismissed by Umno. This is the actual situation when one party becomes too powerful and no one keeps it in check.

Kawak: In the Kedah dialect, we would describe this Umno deputy minister of agriculture as ‘mulut capoi’. That is, he simply shoots his mouth off without thinking.

The strength of a person lies in his courage to admit when he is wrong. But this man is too arrogant.

Ipohcrite: Tajuddin thinks he can just wish the issue away but he can't. The issue will stick to him like a bad rash and from time to time, he will feel the strong urge to scratch himself for relief.

But relief won't come unless and until he apologises. Otherwise, he will forever be branded as an enemy of Chinese Malaysians.

Dont Just Talk: MCA Youth leader Chong Sin Woon, the big mouth, birdbrain MP Tajuddin said: "The slap subject is closed and don't bring it up anymore." ‘Faham tak’ (understand)?

The big brother from Umno Baru has spoken and it's for a ‘penumpang’ party like MCA to just listen. Luckily Tajuddin did not ask Chong to apologise instead for persistently harping on the slap issue.

By the way, Chong, your immediate boss, the president of MCA, was one of the 1,000 people waiting at the airport to welcome home the 'Hero of Umno Baru' on Monday night.

Exranger: MCA Youth is just making a ‘wayang’ (stage act) by making some noise just to show the Chinese that they are relevant. But behind closed doors they will hug one another because it was all done to divert attention of the people from the real issues.

The whole saga is just to save Najib. The MCA leadership will say that what was said by its Youth wing is not MCA's official stand, that it was the personal view of the Youth chief. MCA president Liow Tiong Lai will not open his mouth.

All these are pre-planned events. Believe me, the MCA Youth is actually helping Umno to create racial friction.

Hamzah Paiman: MCA needs to be slapped for supporting Umno. That's all there is to it.

Tpn: MCA will never learn. Just quit BN and it will come running to you. Then you can slap Tajuddin.

David: DAP's assemblyperson RSN Rayer used the word ‘celaka’ and all hell broke loose. And then he was charged with sedition.

Here we have a minister uttering insensitive remarks and he has the arrogance to proclaim that the issue should be closed.

Imagine, if it was the other way round, I bet the red shirts will rally 10 days and 10 nights.
