Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor today warned party deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin not to "cross the line" in his speech tonight.
Muhyiddin is giving a highly-anticipated speech at Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur on the eve of the Umno general assembly.
The party chose to do away with its tradition where the deputy president officiates at the wings' general assembly, thus blocking the sacked deputy prime minister from speaking.
"It's up to him. Just don't cross the line. You cross the line, we take action," Tengku Adnan told reporters in Putrajaya.

Tengku Adnan last week said that it is up to Umno president Najib Abdul Razak and the Umno supreme council to decide if Muhyiddin will be given the chance to give a winding-up speech on the last day of the AGM.
The AGM will take place from Dec 8 to 12.
Muhyiddin said he will attend the AGM but expect to be a “stump” on stage since he will not be able to speak.
Umno's longest-serving president Dr Mahathir Mohamad said this is unprecedented .
Mahathir said that he always allowed his deputies to speak even when they were feuding.
Muhyiddin and Umno vice-president Shafie Apdal appeared to be sidelined in the party, after they were removed from cabinet in July following vocal criticism of Najib's brainchild, state investment firm 1MDB.
Shafie said he will be at Kampung Baru to support Muhyiddin tonight.
