Sungai Besar Umno division head Jamal Md Yunos has tendered his resignation from all party positions on grounds that his recent actions had brought the party, particularly its Selangor leadership, to disrepute.

Jamal's letter, dated yesterday, said he had to resign in order to not tarnish the party's good name.
