MACC grills Perlis MB
The MACC grilled Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli on Tuesday over an alleged abuse of power probe.
It is understood that this is over the implementation of infrastructure projects throughout Perlis since 2022, including its restoration, maintenance, supply, and services.
PAS tried to downplay the grilling as Shukri only being called in for questioning, but MACC chief Azam Baki confirmed that the menteri besar was detained and later released on bail.
Last week, MACC arrested Shukri’s son and five others to assist in an investigation linked to the submission of false documents and claims involving RM600,000 over the past two years.
One of the cases being investigated included an alleged false claim for a supply of beverages for the raja of Perlis during the monarch’s stay at a hospital in the state.

Crackdown on dissent against Agong
Bersatu activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard, was charged with sedition and defaming the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
The first set of sedition and defamation charges on Monday is over comments about the Yang di-Pertuan Agong granting an audience to KK Mart founder Chai Kee Kan.
He was later charged with sedition again on Tuesday, this time believed to be over comments about a report purporting that there were plans to build a casino in Forest City.
Also on Tuesday, police arrested Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, also known as Papagomo, questioning the Agong's meeting with Chai at the height of the controversy on socks printed with the word “Allah”.
It is also learnt that Papagomo had in the same video alleged that the king had instructed Chegubard to be charged under the Sedition Act.

PAS plays race card in KKB
PAS has put a racial twist on the educational background of Pakatan Harapan's candidate for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.
PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari challenged Pang Sock Tao to reveal her UPSR and SPM results after PN's candidate's tertiary credentials came under scrutiny.
Pang obliged, revealing that she was a straight-A student.
However, Fadhli and PN supporters are now pitching an angle that the dare was a "trap", aimed at revealing that Pang went to a vernacular school.
The subtext appears to be that one is somehow less Malaysian for going to a vernacular school, never mind that Pang's Bahasa Malaysia grade was an A+ while her Chinese was an A-.
