The state legislative assembly proceedings can be beam 'live' when it sits for four days starting July 21.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has pledged to battle corruption and bolster the judiciary before handing power to his deputy Najib Razak in mid-2010.

Among those detained yesterday were immigration deputy director-general Yusof Abu Bakar and a close relative, said reports.

'Anwar has been issued with a summons by the police to be questioned at 2pm on Monday,' said Tian Chua, PKR information chief and Batu MP.
