Malaysian Bar Council has to step up

The arrest of Mohamad Zulkifli Ismail for allegedly stabbing two men who were trying to rob his house, in the name of self-defence, has caused a public uproar. The police once again are taking a beating for carrying out their duties. I personally do not agree with the arrest, but rules are rules, and legislations are to be abided.

Former military attaché Muhammad Rizalman Ismail has shamed the entire country with his antics in New Zealand. Getting caught indecently assaulting a woman is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, his ludicrous statements in court further tarnishes the image of Malaysia.

Najib Abdul Razak faced a backlash from pro-opposition and pro-Mahathir Mohamad news portals as well as blogs for allegedly meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly in New York recently. Najib vehemently denied the allegations and said he only shook hands with Netanyahu as they crossed paths. Some Israeli portals allegedly spoke well about Najib and keyboard warriors in Malaysia are having a field day.

An open letter to Bersih chair Maria Chin Abdullah

Dear Maria Chin Abdullah,

From what I understand Bersih is a coalition of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that seeks to reform the current electoral system in Malaysia to ensure free, clean and fair elections. This is the backbone of Bersih, right?
