Addicted to the BN model

Addicted to the BN model

A lot of people are commenting lately on the way the Pakatan Rakyat coalition broke apart and alleged dissent within the new Pakatan Harapan coalition. I think the root cause of some disillusionment towards dissent within coalitions is that we are too addicted to the BN.
Disruption of peaceful event should be decried

Disruption of peaceful event should be decried

The actions of the individuals during the mob interruption of a DAP event in Johor should be condemned immediately. Lim Kit Siang, MP for Gelang Patah, was unhurt even though objects were thrown at his direction but Liew Chin Tong, MP for Kluang, was physically roughed up in the incident. Liew could also recognise some of the people involved as members of the Pasir Gudang Umno division. Several DAP Socialist Youth leaders were also witness to the incident.

Gerakan lacks legitimacy to comment on DAP’s affairs

I will not repeat the stand that has already been clarified by Penang Chief Minister and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng on matters of the Penang state government which should already be clear.
MBPP working hard, any faults swiftly dealt with

MBPP working hard, any faults swiftly dealt with

I would like to take the Penang Gerakan Youth Chief H’ng Chee Wey’s remarks that the Penang government is ignoring refuse collection, to task. The councillors as well as members of the staff at the City Council of Penang Island (MBPP) are constantly working hard to ensure that any shortcomings with cleanliness are swiftly dealt with and not left to rot as alleged by H’ng. All members of the city council are constantly in contact and will follow up on complaints.

COMMENT BN may have won this battle, but the war is far from over.
Respect the parking needs of disabled people

Respect the parking needs of disabled people

As the brother to a disabled person (Orang Kurang Upaya or OKU) in Penang. I would like to appeal to motorists in Penang to always leave the OKU parking lots empty for people who are genuinely disabled as I have been receiving complains that the OKU parking lots are always taken up by cars without OKU stickers.
