It was very refreshing to see Zaid Ibrahim’s writing in The Star and Jagir Singh’s defence of M Indira Gandhi as they are of different faiths than that of Indira.

Dr Ismail Abdul Rahman was a great leader who made Malaysia a better nation. He was courageous and said, “MIC is neither dead nor alive”. We can add PPP today. These two parties have failed to be honest about the most important issue, ie crime and social conflicts due to caste discrimination.
