Selangor exco member for Local Government, New Village Development and Legalising of Factories Ean Yong Hian Wah should issue a public apology and resign from his position over the Petaling District Licensing Council’s decision to ban the sale of alcohol in traditional medicine shops and its threat to revoke the licences of those who do not comply.

As the PKR-engineered crisis over the post of Selangor menteri besar continues to drag on, it is becoming obvious that the biggest ‘sin’ committed by Khalid Ibrahim is refusing to become PKR’s ketua umum Anwar Ibrahim’s lackey, unlike DAP which dances to Anwar’s tune.

The salary increment and salary cut to be given as a donation to a charity fund by the Selangor exco is nothing but a political gimmick. This is just like a sales tactic used by supermarkets which first mark up prices before giving discounts; the state government, too, is using the donation as an excuse to cover up their dramatic pay hike.
