The recent episodes within the Pakatan alliance has raised or caused some unsettling feelings and uncertainties, at least for me. I am beginning to feel like they have resolved to bunker-down and begin a process to wage a long-term war - ultimately taking over the country and turning it into an Islamic country.

You know, like the kind of war-room where all the generals hunkered around and decided the battle strategies towards a common objective. All this by riding on the current wave where people need change, and utilising the trust of the non-Muslims.

They have not renounced the fact that they want Malaysia to be an Islamic country and that’s frightening. DAP and PKR will go down in history as assisting their cause. The recent events have indicated to me that PAS’ management are more willing to swallow their pride and not break into emotional outbursts - which generally is a trait possessed by the Malays, pardon me.

The grassroots seem to have been well-informed and 'educated' of the party mission. They have accepted this and are willing to sacrifice now towards achieving the mission even if this means it needs to take two generations. They are well-disciplined and very 'knitted'.

They have in fact gone into Sun Tsu’s ‘Art of War’ mode - aim to win the war by winning all small battles along the way.

I think DAP or PKR needs to be well aware of this, and not look at the short term. Unless there is concrete evidence that PAS would not ‘Islamise’ the country should they gain majority control of the government, they cannot be fully trusted. The people should not fall for this as well.

Looking forward to the Bagan Pinang by-election - maybe we should let BN win this time.
