I refer to the Malaysiakini report PM tightens noose around Ong's neck .

The prime minister is reported to have said, ‘Thus, whatever decision that the MCA central working committee will make later must be based on the decision arrived at the MCA EGM yesterday,’ and by saying so he is now directing the MCA how to behave.

Umno has reared its ugly head again; they are saying in no uncertain terms, ‘we are the masters of the MCA, you are there to serve our purpose and our purpose alone.’

The MCA has its options, Ong Tee Keat has his options. The vote on Saturday does not have the two-thirds majority to remove the party president for that is what is required by the constitution of the MCA.

If it is in the constitution, the founding members of the MCA had good reason to put it there. They realised that there may come a time when outsiders and even money may be used to get rid of the incumbents.

Saturday's vote lacks the two-thirds so who is the PM to direct the MCA. In Umno, when such a thing happens, all hell breaks loose. They fix the constitution, they even meddle with the judiciary and get back into power. But here, the MCA president has not lost his position. He abides by the constitution and he remains for the constitution is supreme.

So if he remains, it is not as bad as making the party illegal. He is still the rightful president, unless another EGM is called for and two-thirds of the members tell him to get out. He should use that opportunity to make sure that that is exactly what the party membership wants.

The truth of the matter is that the MCA is nothing but a tool of Umno, it is expected to deliver the rights and privileges of the Chinese Malaysian community to Umno via the Barisan Nasional. That way Umno is allowed to do what it likes when it likes without taking into consideration the real needs of the community. This has always been the case and in this particular incident, it has become more then just obvious.

The license to do it was the Port Klang Free Zone scandal and when Ong tried to reveal the truth behind it, ‘the Third Force,’ the real beneficiaries of the PKFZ fiasco, the very people who got away with the lion's share of the loot needed to get rid of Ong.

Umno had to get rid of Ong and thus Chua Soi Lek, the ‘Third Force’ and even Umno got into the act of removing Ong. But remember Ong has not yet been removed. To borrow a phrase from Najib Razak, ‘This is just a technicality,’ and in this case that is what it really is.

Ong has not been removed yet, he can remain at his post, he can stubbornly remain there, it is his right, and then we'll see what Najib does. Najib was quoted in the above report as having said, ‘it is important for the second-largest party in the ruling coalition to resolve the leadership crisis before the position of its president in the cabinet can be decided.’

So what happens if Ong holds on? Will he remove Ong from the position of transport minister? I am inclined to believe he will as desperate people will do desperate things. It is not Ong who is desperate, he went in with his eyes wide open.

It is the ‘Third Force,’ Umno and its lackeys who are desperate as they see Ong as a threat to all their evil schemes.

Najib has, anyway, intervened into the investigation of the PKFZ scandal he has now got to rid the cabinet of this nosey Ong Tee Keat and he has to save those who served the community to him on a silver platter for money paid by dubious means.

In view of all these happenings, the Malaysians of Chinese, Indian, Malay and other ethnic origins must now take account of this and decide once and for all to rid this country of BN and racial politics.

Let this be the blow that will sound the death knell of the MCA and let that be the beginning of the death of the BN.
