Time has come to sack Zulkifli Noordin. Now.

I refer to Malaysiakini report Give Zulkifli the boot, says Zaid .

The stalwart PKR leader Zaid Ibrahim’s public call for the recalcitrant MP from PKR to be kicked out of the party’s is long overdue as Zulkifli Noordin's words and actions have caused more harm to the party's image among Malaysians who support PKR’s struggle for a better Malaysia for all.

The last straw was when this recalcitrant MP recently lodged police reports to have PAS MP for Shah Alam investigated for an allegedly seditious statement. With an MP like this, who needs enemies? As the Malay saying goes ‘musuh dalam selimut’.

Khalid Samad , the PAS MP for Shah Alam like his counterpart Nizar Jamaluddin , the former MB of Perak, are two rare Islamic leaders who by their words and actions have won the hearts and minds of all communities in this country with their moderate stand on any issue that affects our nation’s interest.

Such elected MPs who are moderate in their thinking and are not dogmatic in their religious thinking should win more votes when they re-contest their seats again at the next polls.

In order for PAS to gain ground in the next general election, the party should select more capable candidates like these two gentlemen who are colour-blind and do not resort to racial and religious rhetoric’s in order to stand out among their own community without a thought or care for the other races.

Khalid Samad and Nizar Jamaluddin represent the future of our country while Zulkifli Nordin of PKR and Ali Hassan of PAS represents the old guard who still stick to the old methods of winning votes by being religious bigots.

To them, only what they say about Islamic principles is righteous while those who disagree with their edits are heretics. How ignorant and arrogant can such persons be?

DAP with their middle path and PAS with their moderate leaders with good principles can attract the public at large to support them when the next general election is held .PKR, the new kid on the block, seems to have more problematic leaders who stray from the party’s struggle but are not disciplined for their insubordination.

For Zulkifli Nordin to lodge a police report against his Pakatan colleague, Khalid Samad, this is the worst form of betrayal and should not go unpunished by the PKR supreme council . Sack him from the party if you must in order to assuage the people who will support your party come the next polls.

PKR seems to have a lot of internal problems which is affecting their credibility among their supporters. Selangor, which is helmed by PKR Khalid Ibrahim, is in a precarious position as the ‘corporate’ MB is well versed with business dealing and wheeling is not politically savvy enough to manage his state well.

With the MACC breathing down his neck checking and arresting his party’s political aides on alleged wrongdoings, one wonders how long he can hold on to his post before he is ousted.

DAP-controlled Penang and PAS-controlled Kelantan and Kedah are more politically stable compared to Selangor. Lest we forget, Perak fell again to BN rule due to the treachery of PKR state reps and Selangor might suffer the same fate.

If Pakatan is serious about forming the next federal government, their elected representatives should speak with one voice and should not fight with one another in public. Remember, what the voters give, the voters can take back.

Anwar Ibrahim, the de facto opposition leader, will need to act tough on his renegade PKR MPs. Zulkifli Nordin is a loose canon who tends to speak without thinking. Cut him loose from the party as the MP from Kulim Bandar has done much damage already to the party’s image. Better to lose one MP rather than suffer the consequences when the next general election is held.
