This letter claiming President Obama's nuclear summit is merely his pretext to perpetuate ‘Western imperialism’ is so thoughtless, Mahathirist knee-jerk and wildly stretched.

I'll let readers judge for themselves but I will mention a silly error proving the writer had no interest in the search but prefers simply to say whatever makes him feel good (typical for Mahathirist Malaysians).

And that is his assertion that ‘neither would the US and Russia allow foreigners to walk about and inspect their nuclear facilities’.

Come now. How do you think the previous Start nuclear treaty was verified? It worked well for years because Russian and American officials and technicians visited each other's nuclear sites.

That is a fact; there is no question. Now Start is obsolete and President Obama has signed a treaty with Russia that will reduce the two countries' nuclear weapons by a further one-third.
