The Bersih demonstration will never succeed without majority support

Now that Seputeh MP YB Teresa Kok has finally admitted that the Bersih demonstration is exclusively held to uphold minority rights, this begs the question - what happened to the Malays who once thronged the street of Dataran Merdeka with them not long ago?

Have the Malays lost faith in the Bersih demonstration that it warrants YB Teresa Kok to finally admit that Bersih is meant for the rights of the minorities in this country to peacefully assemble?

If the Malay majority has lost faith in Bersih as what YB Teresa Kok implied, then it is fruitless for even the minority to assemble because without the majority, what Bersih hopes for will never be achieved.

Perhaps the majority is also trying to tell Bersih that it is not Bersih after all, with the street demonstration movement purportedly receiving sponsorship by foreign powers such as the National Endowment for Democracy and National Democratic Institute, George Soros’ Open Society Foundation. Soros was once accused by Dr Mahathir Mohamad himself of trying to wreck Malaysia’s economy and democracy. The money trail reveals it all.

If the demonstration is only for the minority as implied by YB Theresa Kok in her FMT comment on Oct 29, 2016, then Bersih and the entire opposition pact has lost its moral battle as Bersih is now seen being used by the opposition in spreading hatred by exploiting the minorities.

No wonder YB Teresa Kok said that the Bersih demonstration is for minority rights.
