Dear Pak Lah,

I hope you are not suffering from a denial syndrome like some members of your administration. Since you took over, apart for Isa Samad's suspension , nothing positive has happened. So much for your sustained anti-corruption drive.

Khir Toyo is still around, so is Rafidah Aziz , S Samy Vellu , Jamaluddin Jarjis , Azim Zabidi (suspended from Umno for money politics, only to come back as party treasurer) Ahmad Zaki Zahid and your son Kamaluddin and son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin .

I hope you realise, Pak Lah, that putting your son-in-law in certain positions of power is corruption of sorts. If you are unsure, please refer to section 2[1], Emergency (Essential Powers) Ordinance No 22/1970.

We all know that you wanted to make him the CEO of Khazanah . If you had done so, it would have been abuse of power and you would have committed an offence under the Ordinance, the same law under which Anwar Ibrahim was charged with.

Just because you charged in court for graft one insignificant minister, Kasitah Gaddam (who is unknown to three-quarter of the country's population) does not necessarily make you a leader who will go all out to fight corruption.

If transparency is what you are promoting, then why don't you reveal the names of those who have so far received Approved Permits (APs) by the hundreds, even thousands? You shouldn't worry about Rafidah getting into trouble, should you? After all, you want a clean, transparent government as espoused by the tenets of Islam Hadhari, right?

Are you going to continue ignoring calls by your predecessor Dr Mahathir Mohamad to reveal the names of AP holders?

But your immediate priority should be turning around the economy. Contractors are not getting projects, there is a big property overhang, fishermen in Kemaman and Kuala Kedah cannot go to the sea because the high price of diesel has become unaffordable and share prices at the Bursa Malaysia are plunging.

The last has little to do with manipulation . If the share market is strong enough, no one would manipulate it. In Bursa Malaysia, you can only make money through manipulation. Otherwise you lose money. So, Mr Prime Minister, please stop giving excuses. We want answers.
