I refer to DAP national secretary Loke Siew Fook's letter headlined Dapsy elections: Irregularities claim unfounded .

It is indeed sad to see that a supposedly young and rising star in DAP has been dangerously influenced by the intolerant and contemptuous attitude of the Barisan Nasional old guard towards free and independent media like malaysiakini .

Can't Loke just explain and clarify the issue proper without attacking the media?

If Loke is representative of DAP's collective attitude, then what is the difference between DAP and the BN which DAP criticises almost everyday in demanding democracy, freedom of speech, transparency, accountability and what not?

Is Loke saying that it is okay to demand democracy, freedom of speech, transparency, accountability from BN but not from DAP? If it is, then isn't DAP guilty of practising double standards?

For the last five years, the DAP must have been enjoying letters in malaysiakini which were critical of the BN, PAS and Keadilan. But when the target of criticisms is now DAP itself, they act more BN than BN.

If this is not hypocrisy and double standards, then what is it?
