I would suggest that everyone keep calm and watch the case of Kamariah Ali , 54, the wife of Ayah Pin, who has publicly stated in the Syariah courts that she is an apostate and is no longer a Muslim.

Let us see how the court handles her case. Her case is in many ways similar to that of Lina Joy's as she is

  • born a Muslim

  • has declared that she has left Islam and

  • her case was referred to the Syariah courts.

    • Let us see how the Syariah courts rule on Kamaria's case first before advising Lina Joy to go to the Syariah courts to get herself declared an apostate.
