I feel M Ahmad has got the facts wrong when he mentioned that Lee Kuan Yew played the Chinese chauvinist card. Please ask him to come down to Singapore and find out how Singapore Malays have done comparatively better than their Malaysian brethren.

If M Ahmad's claim that Lee Kuan Yew had played the Chinese chauvinist card is true, how come there are Malay ministers and deputy ministers in the Singapore government's service and countless numbers of eminent Malay scholars in public and private service?

Finally, do make a simple comparison on the current prime minister of Singapore to the prime minister of Malaysia. The Singapore prime minister takes a personal interest in running the government - reads e-mails and formulates policies to address problems as they arise.

The Malaysian prime minister has received a lot of brickbats and complaints from the public on his inefficient management of the government machinery.

As a result, unemployment, crime, corruption and other social problems are ever on the rise in Malaysia. I do suggest M Ahmad reads the Letters section in malaysiakini to get the feel of things and get the facts right.
