LETTER | As a Sabahan who moved to Johor and settled in the peninsula for work purposes, I feel like one of the many Malaysian minorities whose voice is ignored.

The Johoreans can clearly see I am from East Malaysia, but folks in my original homeland know that I moved here many years ago.

I suppose I find myself wondering who is a voice for Sabahans?

In the past, we had Donald Stephens and Joseph Pairin. Who do we have now?

Look at how the state is kicked around like a football. Musa Aman was removed and put on trial, and now he is back as the governor!!! What an insult.

In the meantime, the likes of Bung Moktar Radin (Sabah Umno) and Shafie Apdal (Warisan) are plotting against Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor. He himself is scrambling to find ways to stay in power.

What about the people of Sabah? Why are we always forced to choose between the lesser of two evils?

We hear about Petronas and Petros in Sarawak. We hear about the Malaysia Agreement 1963, but what is changing?

How long must young Sabahans move to other places to seek greener pastures? Isn’t our homeland beautiful enough, rich enough for all?
