MACC, what about Khir Toyo?

We are not asking for much. At least go after a few BN politicians too. One that stands out like a sore thumb is former Selangor MB Mohd Khir Toyo.

On S'gor exco, DAP rep's offices raided

Ali S: The way the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is going about conducting its investigation suggests selective prosecution. For years, there have been complaints against BN state assemblyperson and parliamentarians for abusing their constituency funds. No action taken.

Lo and behold, as soon as Pakatan Rakyat got into power, offices are raided, documents seized, assemblypersons and fund beneficiaries quizzed.

MACC, we are not asking for much. At least go after a few BN politicians too. One that stands out like a sore thumb is former Selangor MB Mohd Khir Toyo. Yes, what about investigating Khir Toyo?

RJM: Perhaps this is a display of the 1Malaysia idea. It’s a shameful exercise in flaunting one’s power. Though reports have been made against BN personalities, MACC have ignored them. Only those who are untainted by corruption get to be investigated. Bravo.

CH Khaw:

I recalled that Dr Mohd Khir Toyo boasted that he is now in business and has earnings of RM50,000 per month to justify his ability to repay his bank borrowings for his ‘palace’.

Can the Inland Revenue Board check Khir’s tax submission to ensure that he is a law-abiding citizen by paying his share of income tax like all tax-paying Malaysian?

Doraisamy Karuppiah: It’s Najib’s 1Malaysia concept! The MACC will act at thunderous speed against Pakatan and snail speed against BN. We all are fully aware of this, can we do something? Is it tit-for-tat with Pakatan harping on Khir Tyo’ palace?

Come on, the more they do this, the more votes they will be losing in the coming elections. Poor score again for Najib.

On Pakatan leader: A win still a win

Kaisim: Pakatan Rakyat has added a feather to its cap after the recent by-election in Manek Urai. A win is a win even by a small majority but it has to work real hard to bring back its lost support. The reduced majority could be the cause of bad publicity in the media a few days before the election.

Whatever the reason, Pakatan must work harder to bring back the confidence of the people. The members must stop all quarreling and avoid bad publicity. BN is waiting to sensationalise any bad news regarding Pakatan. Remember, many people still have hope that Pakatan may run the next government.

Can the coalition get support from these institutions on issues of national interest?

1) Civil service

2) Police

3) Army

4) Judiciary

5) Religious Department

6) MACC

It is bad enough to deal with one but to deal with all is almost mission impossible. Together with their internal quarrels among its members, the road to Putrajaya may remain a dream for Pakatan.

On Samy unveils 'his team', endorses Palanivel

KSN: With Samy Vellu's endorsement, Palanivel can be expected to win the deputy president's position of MIC.

But think, does it make any difference to the Indians in Malaysia who wins who does not. MIC is dead. What is remaining is the corpse of MIC going around like an ostrich. The next general elections will be the funeral ceremony for MIC. I may also add of MCA and Gerakan as well. May they rest in peace.
