Should Indian voters boycott Bagan Pinang?

your say 'The best position for the Indian voters in Bagan Pinang is to abstain from voting either for the racists Umno or the opportunists DAP which is part of Pakatan Rakyat.'

Indian issues: BN, Pakatan the same

Shamu: Mr P Uthayakumar, we should look towards Bangsa Malaysia. You asking Indian voters to abstain is pure rubbish and definitely a loss for the Indians.

You should remember that besides the many Indians who stood up for Hindraf, there were many Malays, Chinese, Kadazans, Ibans and others who were also pro-Hindraf.

So you should rethink your strong race-based attitude and look at the concept of Bangsa Malaysia. So think with your head and not with your emotional heart.

LG: The best position for the Indian voters in Bagan Pinang is to abstain from voting either for the racists Umno or the opportunists DAP which is part of Pakatan Rakyat that is contesting in this by-election.

All of you need to understand is the kind of calculation Lim Guan Eng did in stabbing the Kampung Buah Pala villagers in their back. They did not count vote-wise as far he was concerned. So they had to go.

His own constituency and his ‘developer constituency' were more important for him, so he shouldn't come and teach the Indians how to get stiffed again by the likes of people like him.

KSS: I think if Lim Guan Eng settles the Kampung Buah Pala issue, the problem would be solved as it would show Pakatan's sincerity.

Uthaya is just articulating the grievances of the marginalised community which has been shabbily treated both by BN and Pakatan in the case of the KBP issue.

Both BN and LGE threw crumbs of 85,000 and 600,000 respectively at the villagers and allowed the BN thieves to get away with more than RM100 million in theft.

LGE has to prove that Pakatan is different from BN by revealing all in a debate with Koh Tsu Koon and then go all out to help the villagers by using all the state's powers and at the same time give absolutely no cooperation or help to the BN thieves who stole the land from the villagers.

The current problem is caused entirely by LGE and he can easily solve it if he wants to. If his genuine and sincere attempts at helping the villagers are thwarted by the BN's enforcement agencies or kangaroo courts, he will come out looking like a hero.

All those blaming Uthaya seem to be barking up the wrong tree.

Peter Chew: If the Indians do not vote, they will be insignificant. Vote and show them you can swing the outcome and be a force to be reckon with.

Uthaya is wrong. Voting is your political and democratic right, do not forgo it. Show them your ‘Makkal Sakthi' at the ballot box not on the streets.

Once is enough. Topple BN in Bagan Pinang this time and if PAS, PKR behave like them after winning, pack them off in the next general election.

The government is your servant, not your lord. They will then know true power comes from the people.

I admire Uthaya's Hindraf cause but this time around, he shouldn't be a hindrance to the mighty vote of the Indian community.
