Lingam tape: 'Tell us who's the key witness'

vox populi small thumbnail 'Minister in the PM's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz should just reveal the real name so that each and every Malaysian can put in their efforts into finding this person.'

Nazri: Jayanthi is not the key witness

Gibran: This is pathetic. So who is the key witness? You do not have to play this charade because from the very inception of the royal commission inquiry, we knew nothing would come out of it. This is Umno/BN rotten to the core.

I just cannot understand how the other BN coalition partners can just sit back and keep quiet. Don't you have the decency to speak up and condemn this cover-up?

This is the quality of leaders that Barisan Nasional has. We have to vote the opposition in at the next general election before this country becomes a failed state.

Chee Hoe Siew: The government is definitely trying to bury the Lingam issue and it is an embarrassment to them that a woman like Jayanthi Naidu would come forward to reveal so much.

If she is not the key witness, then who is? Does Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz mean that whatever her revelations may be, they still won't be enough to convict VK Lingam?

Nazri should just reveal the real name so that each and every Malaysian can put in their efforts into finding this person. Would this person's name happen to be ‘Tak Dapat Cari'?

Taxpayer: A cat-and-mouse game. This is making a mockery of the justice system and making a fool of all Malaysians.

ACA had cleared Anwar of 'RM3 bil bank account'

DohDoh: For an assistant governor of Bank Negara to make a statutory declaration which turned out to be a lie is a very serious matter. It is not like as if he was not well-versed in financial transactions.

Abdul Murad Khalid, in issuing his statutory declaration, has not only threatened harm to a person's reputation - in this case Anwar Ibrahim's reputation, - but also, because of his position as assistant governor of Bank Negara at that time, he has, in fact damaged the credibility of Bank Negara.

Murad should explain how he obtained the 'information' and how he arrived at his conviction to make such a serious statutory declaration, now shown to be without any basis.

He owes a duty to the good name of his family and to Bank Negara to ensure his lie has not affected the credibility of Bank Negara.

Chipmunk: So now we have a former ACA director clearing Anwar Ibrahim of stashing away RM3 billion. Good for Anwar but where was justice when he needed it?

Then we have a former assistant governor of Bank Negara making a false statutory declaration over the case. This guy ought to be brought to court and charged for making false declarations. But in Bolehland, everything and anything is possible. That's why we say 'Malaysia Boleh'.

Wira: Actually, many former heads of government departments become the opposite of their shameful past after their retirement. Maybe they finally realise their need for repentance before God and the need to be truthful.

Liow's group reiterates their EGM call is valid

What's This?: MCA vice-president Liow Tiong Lai and company are losers and very desperate. They are fighting a losing battle for the sake of the already irrelevant MCA. I would advise them to give up politics because they are not up to BN's standard.

Tony: From the photo, they all look like they have been hit by a heavy truck. So why is Liow so desperate to be the MCA deputy president? Does he have what it takes to be a deputy president?

He looks like another Koh Tsu Koon. It's really getting tiresome and silly all these goings-on in the MCA. Like a circus with too many clowns.

'Don't dispute Selcat's existence'

Habib RAK: It a shame that Selangor state assemblyperson (BN-Sungai Pelek) Yap Ee Wah does not understand the objectives of Selcat. There is a reason why government employees are called public servants.

It is because they are answerable to the public. Yap, being a public elected representative, should support and promote Selcat and not ask whether Selcat should be in existence.

This goes to show time and again that Umno/BN has still have not learned to understand that they serve the people and not the other way round. It is shameful for Yap to open his mouth and make stupid statements.

How are you going to gain public support if you continue to challenge measures that are for the benefit of rakyat? You are more concern about ego rather than abuses of power. Why?
