Umno Youth lodged three police reports today over the intended takeover of the federal government on Sept 16, 2008 by the opposition Bernama reported today.

Selangor Umno Youth head Suhaimi Ghazali made one report at the Sepang district police headquarters at about 10am while Federal Territory Umno Youth head Rizalman Mokhtar made the other at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters at noon.

Spokesmen at both police stations confirmed such reports were lodged today.

Kelantan Umno Youth also lodged a police report, at the Gua Musang district police headquarters. The report was made by Kelantan Umno Youth secretary Bazlan Baharuddin who was accompanied to the station by 10 Umno Youth members.

Suhaimi and Bazlan made the reports to ask the police to investigate the claims made by independent Bayan Baru MP Zahrain Mohd Hashim in parliament last week.

According the the former PKR figure, Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim had used the names of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and Chief of Defence Forces over the alleged Sept 16 takeover.

Rizalman had also asked the police to investigate a claim that Anwar had attempted to entice BN MPs to cross over to the opposition to enable it to form the government.
