More mainstream journalists dare say NO

Another TV producer claims political meddling

Not confused: Just shows how worried BN is. It's almost an admission of guilt of corruption and abuse of power on their part. Of course, Ibrahim Yahya will deny interfering - what else is new? The whole BN edifice is slowly crumbling around their ears and they know it. Just wait and bide your time.

Kleo: "I did not give such orders ... you should ask Chou (Z Lam) instead." Great, so air the documentary!

Ichigo: Chou has already spoken, we are asking you, Ibrahim (Yahya) - since you did not give the instruction, and there maybe mis-communication in between, please air the documentary as scheduled.

Justice Bao: The word ‘change' is proving to be a horrible word for Umno. Almost anyone and everyone in the country is fighting back and these fellas are scurrying left, right and centre trying to cover up so much.

Sekarang apa macam? Semua mau kasi ISA? Taubat lah, Umno. Tutup kedai dan bertaubat. Always remember: there is a God up there.

OMG: This has been part of our broadcasting history since time immemorial. That finally there are journalists prepared to voice it out and others prepared to report it - this is a refreshing change.

"Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil."

French legal team in KL to probe Scorpene deal

Yobama: The French lawyers better watch out. In this country, even the record of you ever coming here can be deleted. You can also be C4-ed to smithereens - no traces, no problem. All 'boleh diuruskan'. Better have armed bodyguards to accompany you everywhere.

P Dev Anand Pillai: Here it is "halal" to be corrupt but "haram" to consume liquor. Malaysia is the best when it comes to corruption. The French legal team may just end up like Dr Pornthip Rojasunand - they may be followed and even harmed if they try to probe.

So at the end of the day, it all boils down to the people of this country, for RM50, RM100 or RM1,000, they will sell away their rights to the politicians who will do as they please and as they see right. But when their voices can't be heard at the right places, they look for the opposition.

It serves them right. Don't blame BN but Malaysians who continuously vote for them. Malaysians are just like the koi fish who will swim up to the surface whenever some bread crumbs are thrown and after they have had it, they are satisfied. With people like this, who needs an opposition?

Could It Be?: It is very misleading for the media to make it look like it is an official French government inquiry. Actually, it is an inquiry started by lawyers hired by Suaram, and they are now coming here to brief their clients and take instructions.

It's a tragedy really, our own country men seeking such help to embarrass Malaysia. I am a staunch opposition supporter, but this is nonsense. We have to squeeze our way into our own machinations to find the truth, not scratch our nose to spite our faces.

Ichigo: Please show us all the documents, including minutes of meetings and video feeds if any. We are not only interested if corruption took place, but also the identities of all people involved, particularly the interpreter (Altantuya Shaariibuu).

Teen shooting: Witness to give statement today

Sekigahara No Tatakai: After five hours of tedious police grilling for more statements, the first statement recorded earlier which stated: "I went out of the car to surrender myself. One of the police personnel kicked me from behind, while others punched and kicked me..." will have some slight changes.

The new statement will read, "That night my friend and I were driving with a stolen car then suddenly police siren behind us using the speaker, politely requested us to stop for inspections. We got out of the car, the four police ‘uncles' were so nice to us that they offered us some sweets and drinks also.

"But my friend panicked because he had a ‘parang' in his back seat. So he grabbed the parang and charged at the uncles. Out of defence, the uncles shot him. I was so lucky that the four nice uncles didn't shoot me."

Tanteo: If past instances are of any guide, nothing will come out of this investigation and from the 'panel' set up by the Home Ministry. The police force is rotten to the core, and nothing less than a clean out from top to bottom will do. So much for the PM's KPI. We need an independent police commission NOW.

Hanim Hassan: So Malaysia is now officially confirmed a police-cum-dictatorship state. I used to think these things happened in other countries.

If the rakyat are still blind, deaf and purposely ignorant - voting BN into power despite the mountains of truth - then there is no hope for us as a people, as a nation. After 50 years of life as a Malaysian, I am now truly scared.
