MIC Youth chief T Mohan tonight warned members of the wing to stay away from any gathering of the so-called Gerakan Anti-Samy (GAS) on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur or elsewhere.

NONE Any of them found to be involved in such a gathering would be referred to the party's disciplinary committee, he said at a news conference at the Rita Welfare Home in Kapar, Klang.

Mohan ( right ) said he had learned from a text message sent to him that there were plans to launch GAS at a gathering on Sunday at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).

GAS was initiated by former MIC Youth deputy chief V Mugilan who had called for Samy Vellu to step down earlier than September 2011 when the MIC president planned to hand over the party to his successor.

Mohan was at the Rita Welfare Home to attend the wedding reception of TM Krishnan and MR Kalaiarasi.

Kalaiarasi, 21, has been an inmate of the welfare home since she was nine.
