Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali successfully underwent surgery for a heart condition at a private hospital in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur today.
Perkasa Youth chief Arman Azha Abu Hanifah said Ibrahim was admitted into the operating room for the surgery procedure around 1pm today.
The surgery, conducted at the Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, took two hours to complete, said Arman Azha.
"He is expected to be moved to the ICU,” Arman Azha added.
On Saturday, Perkasa deputy president Abdul Rahman Abu Bakar had said that Ibrahim’s condition was stable, although only family members were allowed to visit the Pasir Mas MP.
Ibrahim was advised to go for surgery after he complained of being ill three weeks ago.
