Suaram board of directors member Cynthia Gabriel told

that they have conveyed their interest in meeting with Clinton to the American embassy.
“Several NGOs had asked for a dialogue with the secretary of state when we met with the US ambassador here last week. We hope to explore the possibility of engaging her on issues that affect both the countries,” said Gabriel.
It is understood that Clinton ( left ) is expected to spend a couple of days in Malaysia and is scheduled to attend an event by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) showcasing its partnership with American companies.
MAS said at their press invitation today that the national carrier will unveil its B737-800 aircraft due to arrive in Malaysia on Nov 1, for showcase the following day.
At press time, the US Embassy was not available to confirm whether they will accommodate the NGO’s request to meet with Clinton, who will only be here on a short visit.
Her visit is part of a two-week Asian tour, and it is rumoured that she will be meeting with Pakatan Rakyat opposition leaders during her stay before heading off to Papua New Guinea on Nov 3.
