Who is high maintenance - FLOM or Kak Wan?

vox populi small thumbnail 'Wonder how much does the wife of our PM Najib spend on her wardrobe. That said, this is gutter politics at work.'

Lokman bashes Wan Azizah's 'expensive lifestyle'

PuteraMalaysia: Lokman Nor Adam, why don't you attack those who ISAed you and make your family miserable in the first place? Parable: If there is no heavy rain, there will be no flood. When there is no flood, your family will not suffer. When your family does not suffer, they do not need help. Get it?

Dood: Exactly what part is wrong about using your own hard-earned money to buy the things you want (even if it's expensive clothes)? Or is that Umno/BN guy's logic a little too complicated for me?

And that comment that Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail needing to cut down on her own spending so that she can donate her own money to him, his family and others like him... I am speechless.

Perhaps Umno/BN's ‘handout mentality' has made him think everyone owes him a living.

Josephine: Admittedly, one's dressing must befit one's station in life, what is considered 'well dressed' for me a mere mortal, may be considered sloppy for someone of high social standing. Assuming it is true that Wan Azizah (then wife of DPM of Malaysia) spends RM8,000 and get up to 20 sets a year, that add up to RM160,000.

Wonder how much does the wife of our PM spend on her wardrobe. That said, this is gutter politics at work. With so much resources available, is this all that BN is capable of?

Nicholas Lim: I think he was confused. He is actually talking about the FLOM (First Lady of Malaysia) and not Kak Wan.

Ferdtan: Using your words, we ask you instead to 'use your bloody brain' before you talk. You speak ill of the dead TBH (Teoh Beng Hock) who cannot defend himself, and also hit out at the most respected lady Wan Azizah.

When you were arrested under ISA, your wife Noor Farahim Ahmad appealed on the Internet for the masses to stand up to fight against the unjust ISA by the Umno government. Now that you had been freed, you not only joined the very regime who jailed you, but you have forgotten the call by your wife to fight to abolish the ISA.

It is pity that you just give up your past struggles for the betterment of the people, and your self dignity and respect for a pittance of money. Dear Lokman, money cannot buy you that little happiness.

When you go home, when you look yourself in the mirror - do you miss the freedom-fighter, the person that you were once?

HYL: Compared to that FLOM, Wan Azizah's dress is very moderate. Nowadays to have a normal baju kurung tailor-made costs about RM200 to RM300. That FLOM, her dresses are much more expensive because of the beadwork and expensive and good materials.

Look at the FLOM's accessories. Each accessories, bangles, chains, rings, earrings are real stones and gold and silver. So before condemning others extravagant, please ask Najib Razak and his FLOM to be more thrifty and don't spend thousands, if not millions, of our money for FLOM's pleasures.

Happy Wanderer: Lokman, will you be surprised if FLOM's underwear is more expensive than Kak Wan's dress?

MRT project: KL traffic gridlock expected

Anonymous_3f96: You cannot have the cake and eat it at the same time. There is bound to be congestion. This is what happened in Singapore and Bangkok during the peak of construction. What the authorities should do is to alleviate the congestion by temporarily diverting traffic to alternative routes and deploying more traffic police on the roads during the construction.

The route has been well-studied and covers the major commercial and residential which have been bypassed by the LRT/Monorail. Bukit Bintang Area is the Orchard Road of Kuala Lumpur and should have good MRT connections.

Gamuda has a good track record in construction and many of Malaysian construction companies are well-admired in the Middle East/India.

Malaysiawatch4.blogspot: The proposed route is certainly curious as the Bukit Bintang area seems to have a confluence of three lines. I would have taken off from the Section 16 site and cut across to Mid-Valley City and then to Plaza Phoenix site with major interchanges where the MRT crosses the other lines.

Land Public Transport Authority (Spad) should disclose if property owners paid to get the MRT aligned this way? Also they should explain the rationale for that major diversion to Bukit Bintang area. The other systems should also upgrade capacity or there could be a serious imbalance of passengers.

Hann Wei Toh: Singapore only have one MRT company. The east-west line, north-south line and circle line are operated by SMRT, the northeast line by SBS Transit. Some LRT lines are operated by SMRT, some by SBS Transit.

Malaysia had a number of operators initially because the government did not want to pay for the infrastructure. Anyway, it subsequently found it had to emulate other countries like Singapore to pay for the LRTs and monorail using government and hence taxpayers' fund through Prasarana.

Jessie: I am sure if Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan Rakyat take over, they will build the MRT for rakyat's convenience without the traffic jams. And they won't spend so much where much of the wastage go to cronies. After all, Anwar and Ronnie Liu do not have cronies. They are so clever, so please take over the country now.
