BN sarawak convention The 74-year-old long-serving chief minister told some 5,000 delegate during the Sarawak BN convention at Kuching that he will appoint Adenan to handle any debate challenge.

"I will appoint Adenan to be on the watch if there is any debate. No need me to debate lah.

"I send Adenan to punch him," he quipped.

Earlier, Taib reiterated his earlier stance that he would only accept the challenge should Baru show evidence that the state government has grabbed native customary rights (NCR) lands from the owners.

"What is there to debate if the facts and evidence are yet to be shown? Playing with 'tongue war' ( tikam lidah ) is not debate," he said.

He stressed that the democracy practised by the BN is not about demonstrations, quarrels and debates, but serving the people.
