Md Imraz Muhammed Ikhbal: Contrary to what Wan Azizah or many other Muslims believe, watching porn is not always haram just as is the case of eating pork or taking drugs.

It is the underlying motivation for it that is the determinant if a sin is being committed. If a Muslim is permitted by his religion to eat pork as a matter of survival, so too is watching porn in search of truth and to uphold justice by establishing innocence or guilt.

It is watching porn to satisfy lustful desires that Islam forbids. Wan Azizah should rethink her decision.

Editors, journalists called up over sex video screening

Pemerhati: Since the statements and behaviour of the top Umno ministers like Hishammuddin Hussein and Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz strongly indicate that the pornographic show, like the cow-head protest, was masterminded by Umno, the police will put up a wayang kulit (shadow theatre) show and pretend to carry out a serious investigation.

A few relatively unimportant people will probably be found guilty and given a small slap on the wrist, as was done with the cow-head protestors, to deceive the people into thinking that that the government enforces the law fairly.

The Umno masterminds will then plan and execute their next cow-head type of incident to create tension amongst the races or do another pornographic type of show to discredit and defame the opposition. These activities will continue as long as Umno feels that it might get voted out in the next elections.

Joker: Will the police 'kill the messenger' despite what Nazri said about Datuk T? The journalists are merely spectators and they are only reporting what they saw. If Nazri is so convinced of his own righteousness, then he should condemn the police for 'killing the messenger'.

Will the Islamic Development Department (Jakim) come out to denounce Datuk T for showing porn? The trio who made up the Datuk T team are all Muslims, aren't they? Where is the consistency? Where is the sincerity? Where is the akhlak expected of those who style themselves as 'defenders of Islam'?

With Umno, Jakim and Perkasa and whatever clowns 'defending' Islam, Islam really does not need any detractors to spoil its reputation.

M alaysiawatch4.blogspot: I hope they don't drag the investigations too long. After all:

  • Those promoting the video and screening it have admitted their action.
  • You need two or three senior reporters who were there to confirm the events.

It's an open-and-shut case. But will it end up as ‘no further action'?
