The police have obtained several items of information, believed helpful in their investigations into the death of Selangor Customs assistant director, Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed, at the Federal Territory Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office at Jalan Cochrane, Kuala Lumpur, last April 6.
Lawyer Ghazali Mohd Ramli, who is representing Ahmad Sarbani’s family, said there were new developments surrounding Ahmad Sarbaini's death, following information obtained from some individuals.
These information had been handed over to the police last Sunday, he told a media conference at his office in Ipoh.
Ahmad Sarbani, 55, was among 62 customs officers arrested by MACC and several other government agencies in a 3B operation against corruption and money-laundering activities.
Ghazali hoped all quarters would stop making speculations on the cause of Ahmad Sarbani’s death and to wait for the police to complete their investigation.
