DAP chairperson Karpal Singh has today questioned Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin’s maturity for irresponsibly tweeting about Lim Guan Eng’s son and connecting to the Kampung Buah Pala issue by stating something vulgar.

Karpal said Khairy is no country bumpkin but an Oxford graduate.

“Khairy’s maturity is suspect. He is a disgrace not only to whoever extended his tertiary education but also to parliament of which regretfully he is a member.

“He has certainly fallen hook, line and sinker for the vile and vicious allegation about Lim’s 16-year-old son without first ascertaining the truth of the allegation,” the party veteran said.

Karpal said he hopes Khairy realises that any repetition by him of what was said by someone which is defamatory, opens him to be liable for defamation.

“The DAP will not hesitate to take Khairy to court for a judicial pronouncement of his conduct if he persists in repeating the falsehood. Let me remind Khairy this is not an idle threat.

“If Khairy wants trouble he has certainly come to the right place,” he remarked.

On Oct 19, Khairy, who is Rembau MP, had tweeted '@PapaGomo Mungkin dia roboh Kampung Buah Pala sebab nak ganti dengan Kampung Buah Dada ’ (Perhaps he demolished Buah Pala village to replace it with Breast Village).

This was over the row over the Penang chief minister’s son where pro-Umno blogs alleged he had molested a girl, which the DAP secretary-general and school principal had vehemently denied.

DAP MPs has alleged the posting of the the girl’s picture was wrong and today the girl whose picture was used has vehemently denied this.
