DPM, what if somebody accused your son?

YOURSAY 'Muhyiddin has a little taste of what Pakatan leaders and the general public like Prof Abdul Aziz Bari have been subjected to every day.'

Reporter 'twisted' my statement, says DPM

your say Tan Kim Keong: DPM Muhyiddin Yassin, a mere denial that you did not say what the press reported and that the press had twisted your statement is not good enough.

Make a police report to clear the slander about you implicitly supporting and condoning defamation of minor. Do it now or forever be called a compulsive liar.

Bender: Muhyiddin has a little taste of what Pakatan Rakyat leaders and the general public like Prof Abdul Aziz Bari have been subjected to every day.

What happened to the DPM is just a small sample of how it really feels when people twist your words. This is nothing compared to what you did to PAS deputy leader Mohamad Sabu.

I know this experience means nothing to you, but at least we all get to see what happens when ‘senjata makan tuan'.

T Sundaram: Lim Guan Eng and Kit Siang, as the deputy premier have said, you should have made a police report if you want the authority to investigate the matter - why the hesitation?

If all the allegations are not true, Kit Siang, enough of drama, don't accuse others.

Yes, the DPM should too make a police report against the reporter who twisted his words.

Free Thinker: That's how BN government's works - investigate the victim, not the accused.

Tkc: If a police report is lodged, one would not be surprised if Lim Guan Eng's son is dragged to the police station to have his statement recorded under the full glare of publicity.

The modus operandi of Umno is roughly:

1) Start a rumour via Utusan Malaysia or a pro-Umno blog.

2) Get the police or Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate.

3) Whip up the ‘controversy' through the mainstream media.

4) If it does not stick, repeat the cycle.

Some examples of this dirty tactic are Teresa Kok's ‘azan' case, Dr Michael D Jeyakumar's ‘communism', Mat Sabu's ‘disloyalty', the Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) ‘proselytisation' and the mother of them all, Anwar Ibrahim's ‘sexcapades'.

KSN: DPM, if you are sure about what you said and you did not say what was printed by the media, why not demand a retraction from the media concerned, failing which, sue them?

Or as you recommended to Penang CM Lim Guan Eng, why not make a police report against the reporter or the media concerned?

DannyLoHH: After reading Muhyiddin's statement and reading between the lines, it seems the reporter didn't twist his statement after all.

He did indeed ask Lim Guan Eng to lodge a police report to ascertain that his son didn't molest a girl in school.

So the insinuation that Lim Guan Eng (LGE) has to lodge a police report to prove his son's innocence was indeed there.

What I see is not that the DPM's statement is twisted, but rather he is trying to twist his way out of a deep hole he dug for himself.

Democrat 53: LKS (Lim Kit Siang), you have hit the nail on the head. That's where the problem lies - there is no decency and responsibility.

Muyhiddin, do you expect LGE to go to the police and make a report so that they can have a field day calling witnesses, exposing all kinds of allegations to Utusan to report, and we go on a merry-go-round of further investigations to control the damage expected to be done by the police being used by Umno?

We all know what our ‘responsible' DPM wants to happen.

Mum considering all options to protect Anya

Fairnessforall: To Anya Corke's mum, please sue the pants off those jerks. How dare they implicate your innocent daughter and tell such blatant lies.

Please do not let them go scot-free. Make sure you claim at least a million ringgit from them. Then they will know next time to stop telling lies and implicating innocent people.

FellowMalaysian: Khairy Jamaluddin should be taken to task for supporting Papagomo's atrocious actions and for giving credence to his despicable indulgence.

Instead of condemning Papagomo's vile actions, the head of Umno's Youth wing took the opportunity to poke fun at Lim Guan Eng.

Paul Warren: I wonder if Muhyiddin would like it if there was a suggestion somewhere to have his unmarried daughter's virginity verified? I am sure even this mere suggestion would have him mortified and wanting blood from me.

But when after everything has been said, he still insists on wanting a police investigation because he is unwilling to accept Lim Guan Eng's response, I think he should get a little taste of his own medicine.

Mind you, I don't know if Muhyiddin has a daughter, and if so, if she is married or not. But I would like him to read this and see for himself what it does to him.

1M: Papagomo, or whatever you call yourself, come out and face the public, and don't forget to wear your Umno cap and BN T-Shirt.

Armageddon: PM Najib Razak said that the principle of keeping family members out of politics must apply both to the opposition and ruling coalition.

I agree, but only if the accusations are not true. But if it is true, and backed up with hard evidence, we should continue with what we have been doing.

If not, then family members can continue flouting the laws, because they have godfathers protecting them.

Kgen: Malaysia has made it to the international news, again - for the wrong reasons.
