Why fear a law professor from UIA?
YOURSAY 'I hail the Universiti Islam Antarabangsa students who know what is right and wrong, when their elderly elected representatives do not.'
University lifts Aziz Bari's suspension
Anonymous_4182:
Is the episode over now that the professor's suspension is lifted? What a ruckus. And why are politicians involved?
Could it be fear? Is it fear of everybody who criticises the system set up by the government? But if policies are fair, logical for all, ‘apa takut'? Don't we need our students to have clear, logical thinking?
With the elections round the corner, could it be the fear of too many critics of the system, leading to exposure of hidden skeletons in the closets? When you fear, and have things to hide, every shadow is your enemy.
Ruben: This is a big slap on the face of senator Ezam Mohd Nor, Bandar-Kulim Baharu MP Zulkifli Noordin, Utusan Malaysia and the political powers behind them. The more they attack, the worst is the repercussion.
The rakyat is getting to be totally fed up to be treated to lies, corruption, scandals, slanders against innocent people, the treatment of the rakyat when they attempt to show their displeasure at the government, and last but not least, the attempts to divide the rakyat at any costs.
Knowing the powers-that-be (where they are all bent to destroy), the investigation might come out like the Jais-DUMC. Yes, there was evidence but insufficient and Prof Abdul Aziz Bari will get a hard slap on his wrist.
Brahman: It has become a culture for government servants, police, judiciary and even the Armed Forces) to become a tool for their political masters, irrespective whether it is right or wrong.
In so doing, they think they would be richly rewarded. This is the legacy - a malignant cancer in our country - left by the Doctor.
I hail the students who know what is right and wrong, when their elderly elected representatives do not.
Quigonbond: It's bad enough that they suspended Aziz Bari in the first place. Now, they show that they don't have a backbone and can easily flip flop. Seriously, there goes the credibility of Universiti Islam Antarabangsa's leadership.
Anonymous_3f1f: Bravo to the students who stand up for Prof Abdul Aziz Bari. Let us show those goons and big bullies that they are not the boss, but only elected servants of the people.
They come and go, and people's power will decide who shall rule the country.
Armageddon: If ever Prof Aziz was neutral in politics, he is now definitely anti-BN.
Bender: Alhamdulillah (praise to God). This is a victory for all who side with the truth.
But don't be surprised if tomorrow PM Najib Razak will claim that the decision to lift the suspension was all because of his own intervention on behalf of the BN government and no one else could claim credit for it.
And then, either him or his lackeys will trumpet all over the nation about how BN government does not restrict academic freedom and this is the ultimate proof of that fact.
Anonymous_3e4b: Here's the best statement from the UIA students - ‘1 down, thousands and millions wake up'.
Look at how ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi died like a rat after having looted from the Libyans poor - ‘millions woke up in Libya'.
Paul Kerangkas: Thank you university students, especially those from UIA, for mounting endless protests against the suspension of Abdul Aziz. For without your vehement support to him, he will in the end be expelled.
Rick Teo: Najib thought he could get Malaysians to join him to see his favourite team, Manchester United, demolished Manchester City. But instead he got a rude shock.
In the next election, BN will get a drubbing. That's the omen for Najib.
Students plan protest, PM to skip UIA visit?
Jesse: An act of sheer stupidity by the university authority has galvanised the students into action. In attempting to intimidate and silence a well-known academic, it has got itself into hot water.
Being seen to be pro-government may get you further promotions and a few worthless titles, but it does nothing for your own integrity or academic reputation, if any.
Tkc: Mr PM, the difference between Bersih 2.0 (trouble) and Himpun (no trouble) is PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police).
Please give a police permit to the UIA students to protest Prof Abdul Aziz's suspension so that there will be no trouble.
BTN: In Umnoland, you cannot go against the government. I admire these courageous students who are a new breed of Malays that will shape this country into a developed nation and race which Umno was unable to do for the past 50-plus years. This is truly Malaysia Boleh.
SusahKes: Could you Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia guys wear Manchester City jerseys please? Najib seems to be hard of hearing these days.
Vote Opposition: But will he chicken out?
