Liow: MCA ready to give Guan Eng run for money

The MCA is confident that its proposed candidate for Bagan will give the opposition coalition a run for their money in the 13th general election.
MCA deputy president Liow Tiong Lai said the party had chosen a candidate capable of giving stiff competition, but declined to name the person.
"We already have a candidate for the Bagan constituency, but I cannot reveal who. MCA is confident that this person can do well against DAP's candidate as Bagan wants someone who is hard working and responsible," he told reporters after launching the Bagan Chinese New Year Carnival 2012, Butterworth tonight.
Liow said the party had a strategy to win over Bagan, which is held by Penang Chief Minister and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, in the coming election.
"We will fight DAP's candidate to the very end," he added.
