According to Muhyiddin, the National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd (NFC), a joint-venture company between Agroscience Industries Sdn Bhd and the overnment, had been given the mandate to be the project integrator.

Subsequently, the government gave a soft loan of RM250 million to the company to implement the project and so far, RM181 million had been disbursed.

The NFC issue cropped up when the Auditor-General’s Report 2010 stated that the corporation had failed to fulfil the objectives of its formation.
