The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today said three high-profile cases which it had investigated will be submitted to its Operations Review Panel for recommendations.

This comes after the Attorney-General’s Chambers had studied the investigation papers and returned them to MACC, according to a press statement.

The papers, which include MACC’s investigation into alleged misappropriation of a RM250 million government soft loan by the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC), will be reviewed by a seven-man panel.

The other case concerns Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan chief executive officer Ariff Fahmi Abdul Rahman, who is the son-in-law of Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, over alleged financial irregularities.

The third case is about Sri Muda state assemblyperson Shuhaimi Shafiei’s and Batu Caves state assemblyperson Amirudin Shari’s alleged involvement in a Selangor sand-mining contract.
