PKR has accused pro-Umno blog Papagomo of being a proxy for Umno to dwell into gutter politics while officially distancing itself.

"When we read Papagomo, it is as if he is an avenue for Umno to say things that it does not want to speak on record.

NONE "He becomes a propaganda tool for Umno to play gutter politics," PKR communications chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad ( right ) told a press conference today.

He said this when reporters asked him to comment on the blog’s allegation that a student had lodged a police report alleging that he had been sodomised by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, possibly starting a third round of sodomy investigations against the opposition leader.

However, federal police Criminal Investigation Department director Bakri Zinin was quoted as telling media on Tuesday that no such report had been lodged.

Nik Nazmi asked why no action had been taken against the blogger although his identity is known and he has made many false allegations against Pakatan Rakyat leaders, as though he was ‘invincible’.

This, he said, was despite Umno leaders saying that the blogger was acting in his own capacity although he is pro-Umno.

“Umno is in charge. I am convinced that if Umno tells the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) or the police to take action immediately, there would be no problems. What is stopping action being taken against him? We’re curious,” he said.

Other notable allegations made by the blogger, whose real name is Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, include accusing Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng of covering up after his son after he had supposedly molested a schoolmate.

Lim, the alleged victim Anya Corke, and the school’s former principal Goh Boon Poh had all denied the allegation.
