Chua: DAP is a 'eunuch', can't stop PAS
MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek said DAP is incapable of stopping PAS' Islamic agenda and was thus a "political eunuch".
MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek said DAP is incapable of stopping PAS' Islamic agenda and was thus a "political eunuch".
Speaking at a press conference today, Chua said the establishment of an Islamic state and implementation of hudud law were PAS' religious obligations and not a mere political agenda.
He said some states controlled by PAS have already implemented some aspects of such laws, such as the restriction of alcohol sale.
This, according to Chua, proves that DAP is a "political eunuch" that can even prevent a "minor issue" like this from happening.
Chua also accused DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng of being a hypocrite because he had once openly said his party will not work with PAS.
Producing a 2006 news article in which Lim had then said DAP would never work with PAS until it drops its Islamic state agenda when the party left the then Barisan Alternatif, Chua pointed out that DAP today is once again with PAS under Pakatan Rakyat.
“Oh sorry, this must be a different Lim Guan Eng with the same name,” he said sarcastically, adding that PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat had already made clear that hudud law was not only a political manifesto but a religious obligation.
Asked to respond to comments by certain Umno leaders who had backed hudud such as Kemelah state assemblyperson Ayub Rahmat, Chua said little weight should be given to “minor officials”.
